It’s summer time
My kids were so excited to be out of school, but thanks to summer weather in Florida they were soon trapped indoors. Cries of “We’re board!” soon echoed through the house. It turns out freedom from structure limits their creativity. What is a parent to do? Here’s three ideas to get you started!
Structure your day
Students at school settle into an established routine of learning, exercise and activities. Establishing a structure to your day will help them maintain their learning and your sanity through the 70 odd days of summer vacation. Encourage reading, physical activity and limit screen time. Add some meat on those couch potatoes! Establishing a set routine for bedtime and morning activities will also help immensely.
Try a Free Summer Camp
We have the perfect solution for you! During the week of June 26-30, North Palm Baptist Church will be offering a FREE (that’s right, no cost to you) Summer Camp and Vacation Bible School from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. All you need to do is pack a lunch and register online at http://www.northpalmbaptist.org.
During this week long event, children from K-6 will learn about greatness of God and His creation. Discover that the God of Universe has a plan for you and that He loves you very much.
Nuture their spirit
Children are more than the sum of their parts. They have obvious needs such as food, clothing and shelter, but they are also emotional beings with many needs in the affective domain. Weekly experiences such as Sunday School and Children’s Church develop the whole child and help them learn how to relate to others and incorporate spiritual training into their weekly routine.
North Palm Baptist Church offers Sunday School at 9:30 and Children’s Church at 10:30 every Sunday. Come join our community and explore how spirituality through a relationship with Jesus Christ can impact not only your children’s life but your as well.
Meet New People!
North Palm Baptist Church offers a friendly non-threatening place to meet new people and make new friends. Join us Sunday mornings at 9:15 for Bible Study groups and at 10:30 for our weekly Worship Service. We also have a youth group for grades 6-12 that meets on Fridays at 6:30 p.m.
North Palm Baptist Church is located at 7801 NW 178th Street, Miami, FL 33015, in the Palm Springs North Community.
